In še klasična krompirjeva solata, a zelo zelo okusna.
Zame najboljši tapas – ocvrte zelene mini paprike z maldonsko soljo, s katero precej razsipno ravnajo. Morda sem jaz plačala več, ker so me seveda na tržnici takoj zavohali, da sem turistka, a meni se zdi 5 EUR za 100 g soli veliko.
Ocvri andaluzijski baby lignji so bili menda odlični. Mehki in zelo okusni.
Jaz bom kmalu rekla “stop”!
Raje pojem nekaj dobrega, sem v dobri družbi in občudujem drugo, krasno stran tega našega sveta. Pa vi?
English version
Let’s talk about Barcelona for a while. It is great to remember this vacation in everyday chaos that is going on ever since I am back, and there is also so much to tell about good Spanish food – especially tapas.
Our favorite place where we kept returning in our 7-day-trip was absolutely El Vaso de Oro – tapas bar or could also be called bar, as it is known there. It’s nothing special at the first glance, but then in a moment you fall in love with it. It is always full, mostly there are local people hanging there. It looks like a ship where there are only men serving and cooking – sailors that really handle their work. It is only possible to get a sit at the bar-bank, which is great by the way, because it gives you the opportunity to observe what the sailor does with the food that is going to end up on your plate.
Spanish tortilla – omlette – is one of the things that we don’t eat at home. I don’t really know why. It is tasty and fitting and together with a great bowl of salad it makes a pretty nice meal. As a snack it is even better for me, because it’s nice to try it and at the same time not eat too much of it. Maybe because of the eggs. Although I love the combination with potatoes.
Spanish also have blood sausages, their Black pudding, but it is not just something. It was the best variety of this, in my opinion not too popular dish. I’ve never tasted so delicious one. With the combination of sweet fried onion it was uncompetitive.
We also tasted the best olive in the bar. No kidding. The best ones. I love olives, especially the ones that are put in oil, not in the salt, but these ones were really THE ONES. No bitterness, no saltiness, sourness etc. Simply delicious. Even the princess who doesn’t eat olives wanted another portion of them. 😉
And this? Russian salad in Spain. Probably we were not the only ones who found that strange, serving Russian salad in Spanish bar. But the only explanation I came up with was that they just love this salad that had been invented by a Russian guy. They added their style and made it perfect. Combination of potatoes, tuna fish, and mayonnaise – maybe it sounds too fitting, strong, but truly it is very tasty. We tasted it in another place as well, but this one here in Vaso, was better.
And the classical potato salad, but very, very tasty. I haven’t eaten it for a long time and maybe it brought nice memories, good old times, when we had eaten it on Fridays together with fried hake. I even made a promise to myself that I am going to make it at home to my dear ones.
The best tapas in my opinion – fried green little peppers with Malden salt, which is used in large amounts. Maybe I paid more at the market because they immediately figured out I was a tourist, but 5 EUR per 100g of salt is a lot, I think.
Fried Andalusian baby squids were excellent, well at least I’ve been told so. Soft and tasty.
And another typical dish – patatas bravas – or fried chips with chili sauce and mayonnaise mixed with sour cream. Excellent combination, no doubt!
When I look at the dish that we tried in Barcelona, I found them all full of calories, fatty, fried and unhealthy. But I never had a stomach ache, pekla zgaga or anything else. Obviously there is something else to be blamed for the pain, not just food – stress is the thing that will bring us all down. If we let it get to us, of course. I would soon say stop to all of the pressure from everywhere.
I rather eat something tasty, or hang out and admire the other part, the beautiful one, of the world. What about you?
Sem pa jedla polovico teh jedi v drugih tapas barih in mene so najbolj navdušile paprike in odličen krompirček z majonezno prelivko. Pregrešno dobro :-)))
Vauuu, mega tale pregled tapasov.
